He studied piano and composition at the National Conservatory of Buenos Aires “López Bouchardo”, and electroacoustic music at the Ricardo Rojas University. He participated in the Latin American Courses on Contemporary Music and Summer Courses at IRCAM (computer science and electroacoustic resources). He was a piano disciple of Roberto Brando, Moises Makaroff, M. R. Oubiña de Castro, and studied composition, counterpoint, and fugue with Guillermo Graetzer, and 20th-century analysis and harmony with Fermina Casanova. He traveled several times through Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay as a performer and researcher. He participated in jazz and pure improvisation projects: Luna, Canto Entero, El Borde, Duo Naka-Schvetz, Ophris with César Viana, the Daniel Schvetz Septet, Moderato Tangabile with tubist Sérgio Carolino, Pois é with singer Sara Belo, and D.Schvetz&P.Santos with accordionist Pedro Santos.
He has composed works for orchestra, chamber ensembles, choir, and soloists.
Notable among his works are the operas The Little Prince, The Deceased One, and The Conference of the Birds, the Misatango, the Concerto for Bandoneón and Orchestra, the Double Concerto for 2 Tubas and Symphonic Band, the Cantata para un Silencio, the ballet The Knight of Denmark, the Ludic series of 19 instrumental duos, and cycles of Lieder on poems by F.G. Lorca, J.L. Borges, F. Pessoa, V. Nemésio, Natália Correia, among others. The Trio Flash & Flesh accompanies the photographic installation at the Museu do Aljube; the oratorio The Endless Sea was hosted by the National Pantheon and recorded by RTP2, based on The Lusiads by L.V. de Camões; and in November 2025, he inaugurated the interactive exhibition Máquina do Mundo – 500th anniversary of Camões at the Interpretive Center of the Assembly of the Republic.
He is a CESEM collaborator and resident pianist at the Cinemateca Portuguesa.
