Synopsis

In a short period of about eighteen years, Egypt experienced a period of monotheistic religion. This period corresponded to the reign of Pharaoh Akhenaton and Queen Nefertiti, called the Solar Couple, since the one god was the Sun (Aten). Akhenaton and Nefertiti lived simultaneously a love and political passion embodied in a solar family, in a new city (Amarna) and in the belief in a single god. The conspiracy of the priests of the previous religion brought about the disgrace, fall and destruction of this unique project, with the restoration of a polytheistic religion.
