O que se esconde no silêncio

Taking as a starting point a discussion on the difficulties, and the transformative possibilities of human communication, in this multimedia opera, the senses are to be experienced by both audience and performers, through settings that led us to find alternative discourses, as a way to reach a new understanding about the presence and importance of silence as a means of communication.

The opera is a commission by RÉPTIL – ARTES PERFORMATIVAS, and the production team includes Filipe Moreira as the artistic and choreographic director, and João Ricardo as the musical director and composer. The cast is comprised of three listening performers with music, dance and circus background, as well as a deaf actress. It aimed for a continuous creative process that considers the array of communicative experiences of each participant, promoting stronger connections and weaker social and professional borders.
