Biography

The Op – Portuguese Opera Company,  was a project founded in 2001 (distinct from the one based at Teatro da Trindade between 1963 and 1975), which was considered innovative and pioneering in the Portuguese operatic scene. Its activity, which ceased in 2010, took place essentially in the Lisbon region, having received recognition from the public and critics. His repertoire included operas such as The Barber of Seville, by Rossini, Madama Butterlfy and Tosca, by Puccini, or L’elisir d’amore, by Donizetti.¹
